About Karissa

Hi! My name is Karissa. I am 21 years old and currently attending NDSU, where I am working toward becoming a speech-language pathologist. I'm passionate about working with children and supporting their development in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. I have experience caring for children of various ages and needs, including summer nannying for two families (ages 7-13), infant nannying, and serving as a respite caregiver for a 10-year-old girl. I've also worked in YMCA after-school programs at Jefferson, Madison, and the Downtown Y, and I am currently an Instructional Paraprofessional at Osgood Elementary. Additionally, I will be coaching the Beyond Dance Team at Red River Dance and can be utilized specifically for driving kids to activities as I do that for some families now. Common duties include maintaining routines, assisting with homework, providing behavior support, preparing snacks/meals, planning activities, communicating with families, etc.
