About Karissa

My name is Karissa, and I have two little girls ages 9 and 3. I'm also a nursing student and will be done in December of 2027! I worked at Clifton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for 5 1/2 years. It was difficult to pick up shifts due to the required 2:45 p.m. shift time, so I decided to begin home care. I have always felt strongly about seniors having the right to remain in their home while receiving support. My Vavu was able to live in his home until the last couple of months of his life, and I empathize with families who want the same. I'm a very empathetic, patient, and positive person. I enjoy getting to know the person I am supporting and respect that everyone is different. It's important to me to know someone's goals so I can help them reach them. I have cared for many individuals with memory care needs since 2020 and know that patience is key. Prior to receiving my CNA/HHA license in 2020, I worked in a group home supporting people with intellectual and physical disabilities.
