About Karina

While working at a preschool for 8 years as a support teacher and lead teacher and most recently as a nanny for 3 years, I have found my purpose and passion. In working with children I have learned so much about patience, redirecting behavior, engaging lessons and overall having fun while providing a loving, nurturing and safe environment for the little ones to learn and grow. I believe structure and routine is important and aim to provide consistency and stability to the child and families lives. I always encourage my little ones to try new things even if it is challenging and am always ready to offer my support, guidance and encouragement, especially when the little ones are navigating big feelings. I have loved my time as a teacher and have loved making meaningful connections with some pretty amazing families- hoping to add yours to my list!

Karina has watched our children for years. We are self-proclaimed helicopter parents and trust very little people with our lambs! She has cared for them in both the classroom setting (20+ kids) and individually as a nighttime / weekend sitter. No matter the setting, she shows up 100% herself. Which is consistent in her expectations, communicative and clear with needs or updates, and most importantly fun loving with the kids. She did (without asking!) light housekeeping (toys picked up, dishes, etc) during the sitter experiences which was unexpected, but highly appreciated. We intend to continue to partner with her on our childcare needs!
