About Karen

I am a certified special educator with 13 years classroom experience in a small private school, including a year abroad in South Korea teaching ESL. I've taught students in grades K-8 in English, humanities, math, and executive function, as well as many different middle school elective courses. I am now tutor and interventionist. I am Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading System trained and have worked with students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD for my entire career as an education. I am comfortable tutoring at various locations and can help with Math, English, Test Preparation, Art, Sports & Fitness, Special Education, and Study Skills for elementary and middle school students. I have a strong background in executive function (EF) strategies and natural imbed EF skills into each session. I also provide coaching in this area for both students and adults.
