About Karen

I'd describe my personality as nurturing, positive and lively. I started working with kids when I graduated from nursing school. I was ALWAYS enamored with babies and as a nurse, I immediately knew that my career would focus on children. I was honored to work in NICU for over 20 years and as a retiree, I desire to again care for babies/children. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my beloved dogs. One thing you should know about me is I'm a born caregiver. As a child, my dolls were not only my "babies" but also my "patients". My skills include everything a baby needs. In addition to well children, I am skilled at feeding children with gastrostomy tubes, caring for children with tracheostomy tubes and ventilators, caring for stomas and interpreting cardiac monitors.
