About Karen

Dear Families, my career choice has always involved caring for children birth-school age. I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Special Education. I am dual certified by New York State as well as certified through SUNY at Cortland for Reading Recovery. I have two children who with a blink of an eye are young adults, who I am very proud of, and I miss them. However, for years my classrooms have been an extension of my family. I truly care about all children and if and when I see them struggle, I struggle, and I do whatever it takes to assist them with success and pride with their academics, social interactions, behaviors and physical growth. I try to keep learning safe and fun and as a life long learner I try very hard to keep up with the changes within the educational system. I have taught for Penfield, Brockport, Rochester City Schools as well as the Goddard School and Rich Beginnings all within Rochester.
