About Karen

I started my companion care after my dad's death. I volunteered with hospice, just visiting and chatting and making friends with the ladies in various types of care homes. Different roles were offered and I opted in, including sitting with those actively dying so their adult children could go eat, shower. It evolved into taking their parents out to lunch and for drives to look at the mountains and the scenery of the season. These ladies became my friends. I see firsthand a need to help out the Sandwich Generation as they navigate their aging parents and their growing children at the same time. I saw the risk of burnout heightting. So I provide my time, to do those mundate tasks that can zap one's energy and to also make new friends. Caring for my ladies has been truly fantastic. I look forward very much to supporting more families during their difficult times but also during their joyous times. To help fill the gaps with companionship and friendship. Its what feels right inside.
