About Karen

Karen came into our Family when she filled the last open slot we had in providing 24/7 care for my elderly parents. We were so blessed to have Karen join our ‘TEAM’, as she has a solid background of caregiving with elders, therefore exhibiting great observation skills in identifying the subtle changes in the patients condition, reporting it to the family and following through to the outcome. She is a great organizer, helping me to set up processes for providing specialized care, ie: fall prevention and other safety concerns, wound care protocols, and teaching the other staff, as well. She is a great communicator, gentle with the client(s), spends time interacting with them, as well as light housekeeping, medication prompting, food prep & serving, and entertainment, bringing mom & dad out in her car to see the town and ending up with an ice cream! She has a sweet older dog we encouraged her to bring, and daddy loved having ‘Luke’ there. Karen is kind, care-filled, competent and giving. Even though Karen no longer works for us, she is ALWAYS welcome to Family events, and I consider her a kindred spirit, as we have a lot in common, and bonded in friendship. Karen is worth every penny, as she ‘checks all the boxes’ - and more! Dale T Ormond Beach, FL
