After spending 3 years with my elderly father, I realized too many seniors are lonely, feel helpless and hopeless. I have since decided to try to make senior life more enjoyable by 1) providing companionship when loved ones can't; 2) assisting with meals, errands, and personal care; 3) playing games, making puzzles, sitting outside or taking walks, etc.; 4) accompanying to dinners, movies or other events of interest; and 5) light housekeeping.
