I started babysitting in college, but spent years prior to that caring for younger siblings and other family members. I was always the older cousin that didn't mind hanging out with the little ones the whole time! Now, I have a full-time job but am looking to continue care for children on a part time basis. I have had wonderful experiences with families I connected with on this platform and am excited to do so again! I have cared for children of all ages, and am extremely comfortable with infants. Former teacher (early childhood education, then high school). I love to dance, sing, and play, and can offer tutor or homework help, transportation services, or just general help around the house. Karen is very warm, creative, intelligent and engaging. Our 3 children connected with her quickly, and during the time she worked with us she felt like a part of our family. She babysat for us 1-2x/week after school for four months last year. At the end of one after-school babysitting shift, the children asked her to stay and have dinner with us...and after that, they began to ask each time she was with us if she could stay for family dinner. She got down onto the floor and played with them, helped complete school projects, made valentines and many other art projects, drove to activities, fixed meals as needed. I found her to be good at communicating, organized, dependable and trustworthy. We have missed her since she moved away!
