About Karen

I'd describe my personality as nuturing, compassionate, and giving. I like working with kids because I enjoy watching them grow as individuals. It is fun to see how they perceive things through their creativity and artlike minds. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help a family in need of childcare and build a long-lasting relationship. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old as the neighborhood babysitter, and I haven't stopped since. In my spare time, I like to spend time exploring the great outdoors and creating my own adventures. One thing you should know about me is that I am a registered nurse by day. I work in a K-6 school. I carry my own Lifevac choking device and CPR shield with me at all times. I am CPR and BLS certified both infant and adult. I have over 35 years of childcare experience with children ranging from newborns to teenagers.
