About Karen

Nurturing young minds is my passion, and I've spent over 17 years as an elementary teacher and the last 16 years as a mother at home with my own children. As a certified teacher with a graduate degree, I understand child development and create engaging learning experiences. My approach is patient, calm, creative, and friendly. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games with children. I especially love reading to children. I am comfortable caring for one or two children and enforcing household rules. I prioritize open communication with parents through verbal updates and text messages, always respecting your preferred method. I received CPR training when my own teenagers were babies and would be happy to refresh that training again if needed. Supporting families and witnessing children thrive brings me immense joy, and I would love to bring that dedication to your family.
