About Karen

I am a semi-retired Registered Dietitian who has always enjoyed caring for children, especially babies and 1-year-olds. I have cared for babies and small children as a job and for family members and friends. I took care of a girl from 1-2 years of age for about 1 year as a regular job. I also took care of another girl from 9 months to 2 years as a regular job. I have also had regular jobs including from ages 2. 5 months to almost 2, 3 months to 3 years, 9 months to 3 years and 8 months to 1. 5 years. I have babysat for children from a few weeks old to 8 years old, occasionally older. I also took a Child Development class in college. I believe reading to children is very beneficial. I would describe my personality type as calm, kind and quiet. I do not spend time talking on the phone and would never entertain friends while working. I live in Amagansett year round.
