About Karen

Three+ years ago Karen was hired as a caregiver/companion for my elderly father and stayed with him until he died at 98 years. Karen quickly became a dear friend and we consider her a member of our family. Karen was always attentive to Dad and responded to his every need. What I loved most was that she creatively engaged him in conversations and activities that genuinely interested him. Always calm and patient, she encouraged an ongoing dialogue and had a magical touch in helping him recall many memories of his youth and early business life. She helped him maintain a routine including walking daily which enhanced his quality of life and overall happiness at a time many seniors sit and watch TV throughout the day. She encouraged and helped arrange outings with friends. When he moved to assisted living, she helped him make new friends and assisted with the quality of his care. I think what made Karen exceptional is that she truly cared for my Dad. You can count on Karen completely. She was always on time, was never absent or called out sick, had excellent attention to detail and maintained a focus on my Dad at all times. She was highly responsible, frugal, and a capable administrator. You would be blessed to have her in your life.
