My name is Karen and I am a senior/child caregiver who moved to Roanoke in May from the Asheville/ Black Mountain area of North Carolina. In the Fall of 2019, I left a leadership role with Biltmore Estate where I managed guest facing teams of 50-80 employees over the past 12 years. I'm interested in working part time in order to have more time to do the things I love - hiking, gardening, volunteering in the community and taking care of my family and friends. I'm patient, easy-going and like to have fun at work. I have two grown children whom I'm grateful to say have turned into caring and responsible adults. I lived in Mexico City for 9 years so I'm bilingual in Spanish on a conversational level. I have my own transportation and can help get children to/from school activities, etc. In college, I was a nanny for a family for several years which was a very rewarding experience. Thank you, Karen

Karen was an amazing sitter for my children, ages five and seven. She was very active and played with them. My son has ADHD and requires additional patience and considerations. She was amazing with him! My kids really looked forward to her coming over. We trust her and very much would recommend her to any family. We wish we were still going to be around to continue the relationship.
