About Karen

I have experience caring for an elderly family member. My father-in-law lived with us for over 20 years. I was his care-giver. He suffered with leukemia, Parkinson dementia/Alzheimer, neuropathy in the hands and feet. I was responsible for his medications, doctor appointments, and making sure we had all the equipment necessary to help with daily life. I have also helped my oldest sister with caring for our 94-year-old mother. I also do daily check-ins with our elderly neighbor who is home-bound and lives alone. When his daughter cannot come to take him, I will take him to doctor appointments. He is diabetic, so when I drop off his mail daily I make sure he has something to eat, or make him lunch or dinner. I also help him care for his small dog.
