About Karen

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With a graduate degree and 10 years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, and study skills. I am a Certified teacher with expertise in Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Student accommodation plans (504). My approach centers on creating a patient, engaging environment where I adapt my strategies--from visual aids to hands-on activities--to match your child's unique learning style. I prioritize clear communication with families to ensure we are aligned on progress and goals. Whether we are breaking down complex problems or connecting concepts to real-world interests, I am dedicated to building your student's confidence. Nothing brings me more joy than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child thrive.
