About Karen

I bring more than 20 years of caring for children and supporting families. I have a college degree and current First Aid and CPR certification. I'm trained as a postpartum doula. I live in West Hartford. I don't smoke. I drive. Most of my recent work has been with newborns and infants. I enjoy children of all ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. I can help older children after school and in the evening. My preferred schedule is afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I'm seeking regular reoccurring work with a family. I'll show up with a calm and loving presence. I enjoy incorporating quiet play, music, stories, puzzles, and board games. I'll support outside play and fresh air whenever possible. I'll follow the routines and values of your home. I show up like "Nana." Warm. Protective of children. Helpful to parents. I want to be part of the circle of care helping your family feel supported.
