I am a nurse from the Philippines. I worked as a private nurse and a school nurse. Seniors deserve all the love, care and most especially, respect, that we can give. Because of their age, there are activities that they need help with. Oftentimes, this makes them feel helpless and vulnerable. Thus, affecting their self esteem. It's very important for seniors to retain their self esteem and self respect despite the presence of a caregiver helping them with their daily activities because self respect and self esteem are vital in maintaining the overall well being of an individual. I don't want seniors to feel useless or helpless. I want them to feel that they are loved, cared for and respected. I want them to know that they are important. Just by listening to what they have to say and caring to know what they think about certain things help a lot in making sure that they feel valued and that their opinions matter.
