I credit my high school teacher, who started a childcare training program that gave me my first daycare job, leading to my interest in psychology and child development. I truly fell in love with childcare during my first nanny position when I realized being in the child's home allowed me to personalize their care in a way daycare couldn't. Each family has its own goals and beliefs about caring for children, and a nanny should be a team player. Open communication ensures that parents and providers share similar ideas and methods and keeps the childcare experience positive and consistent. I value the unique individuality of every child and cater my plans to their interests and needs using a variety of engaging games and activities.
