I am a small business owner residing in Venice, CA. I have been nannying for over 15 years now. I've helped raise my nieces (now one and 3 years old). I have cared for children ranging from 8 months to 17 years old. I think it is important for kids to go outside and enjoy nature, and to learn about the world. I love painting, drawing, and doing interactive activities with them as a creative myself. I also was a lifeguard and swim instructor, and have helped kids learn to swim in the pool, and comfortable to help there too! I would love to help out your family, whether it's for a night for you and your significant other to have a date, or for a few days a week. Ideally, looking for a recurring situation! Additionally, I have a huge love for pets, specifically dogs. I have taken care of dogs for over 15 years, including a dog that frequently experienced seizures. Kara is a natural leader. She was confident and energetic, and my daughter loved playing with her while she was here. We ended up going with someone else, but even though Kara was my first interview, she stood out until the end because she was a self-starter. She jumped right in to help me with the kids while we talked, and it was apparent that I wouldn't have to constantly ask her to do things or show her how if we had hired her. She's really involved in the community and seems to have great time management skills. She was punctual, professional, and she was quick to stay in communication with me.
