About Kara

I have a B. S. degree in Nutrition Sciences which includes in depth scientific and mathematical studies. I am currently studying at New York University working towards my MPH in Global Public Health. Additionally, I have spent time teaching in every level possible, from K-12 substitute teaching to university level tutoring. I am both patient and persistent. As someone who has struggled with finding the best personal learning methods, I have a passion for ensuring each of my students finds the best way to learn. I am committed to trying many different tactics and methods, as I know no shoe fits all. My lessons focus on getting the student to have an understanding of the skills necessary to succeed in the subject in question by themselves. My overall goal is to give the learning and study tools needed to continue as a successful student in the future while also providing the guidance and clarity in the specific subject so as to improve performance.
