About Kara

I graduated from UW Whitewater with a degree in Social Work. After my youngest son was diagnosed with Dyslexia, I learned about the science of reading and received my certification as a Dyslexia Practitioner. I've worked with children both virtually and in-person for the past six years. I use a multi sensory structured literacy program, based on the Orton Gillingham approach. Each session will be individualized to the learners needs. I'd describe my personality as empathetic, encouraging, kind. I like tutoring because I love watching each child grow and gain self confidence along the way! I'm looking for a job where I can help your child reach their full potential in learning to read I started tutoring six years ago, after my youngest son was diagnosed with Dyslexia. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also love animals!
