About Kara

My name is Kara and I take a gentle, nurturing, and responsive approach to childcare, always paying close attention to each child's unique needs, interests, and emotions. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves, and I aim to create that kind of environment every day. Learning with me is play-based and child-led. I love letting their curiosity and imagination guide our time together. With experience designing preschool curriculum and a K to 6 teaching certificate, I bring a strong educational foundation to the fun we have, making sure every activity is both meaningful and developmentally appropriate. I don't use timeouts or take things away when big feelings show up. Instead, I meet those moments with empathy, helping children understand their emotions, make kind choices, and build confidence at their own pace. Above all, I care for every child as if they were my own and strive to help them grow with love and encouragement.
