About Kara

Hi! I am looking for part time work in the mornings/afternoons! I'd describe my personality as outgoing, hardworking, and empathic. I have my Masters in Social Work and am a practicing licensed therapist in NJ. I also have my bachelors in Psychology and Human Development/Family Science. I've taken countless courses on: - Child/human/cognitive development - Parenting styles - Family interactions/therapy - Working with children In both undergrad and grad school, I've completed 4 total internshio some including working within a preschool and middle school I also created a research project about the effects of COVID-19 on developing children and won 2 awards. I like working with kids because I enjoy helping them grow into adults! As a therapist, I understand how our childhood experiences have a huge impact on who we become and I love being a positive contribution. Let's connect!
