Hi, I'm Kara! I love kids and have had jobs babysitting since I was 12. After graduating college with a chemistry degree, I earned a master's degree in education and taught middle school science for 4 years. When I had my first child in 2021, I left the classroom and began to nanny for a friend so that I could also be with my son while at work. I love watching children grow and learn new skills. I love supporting them as they try new things. I love taking them outside to explore nature, to the park to get fresh air and to play, and to the zoo to learn about animals. I don't believe it is valuable to let children sit in front of screens all day. If you hire me, I will watch your child(ren) and not let the iPad or TV do the job for me. If you hire me, I will provide your kid(s) with a fun, loving, playful, and educational environment to grow in. My son is 20 months old, and I will need to bring him with me when I watch your kids. He's very social and loves being around other kids!
