I'm Kara, a registered nurse and the owner of a private concierge nursing practice serving older adults and their families in Northeast Ohio. I work with a small number of families who want something beyond traditional caregiving:. I can visit at home or assisted living, accompany your parent to medical appointments, communicate with providers and family, monitor changes in health and function, take them to lunch or the bookstore, help them stay connected to the life they love, and notice the small things that are difficult to see from another city. Think of it as having professional eyes, nursing judgment, and a familiar face here in Ohio when you can't be. My background combines registered nursing, graduate training in geriatric primary care, and a lifelong love of stories, literature, and the lives people have built. Your parent doesn't need another stranger rotating through the door. Sometimes they need one person who keeps showing up.
