About Kara

Supporting families and providing reliable, compassionate care is something I discovered a love for later in life. I was a stay at home mom, homeschooling my 3 children for the past 18 years and still continuing. I have experience with my own grandmother's care for 9 years, when she had Alzheimer's and now with my mother. My children are almost all adults now and I am able to work outside home. I have found it very rewarding allowing family members a break from the stress of caring for a loved one. I am patient, calm, and prioritize a genuine connection with each person I have cared for. I have experience assisting with mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, or running errands, de-escalating stressful situations, assisting with hospice care, or whatever a family needs. I have references. I am currently employed with a care giving agency, but available for work such as part time, random or irregular hours, occasional event, or a specific purpose.
