I'm Kara! I am a somatic movement, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness teacher for individuals with disabilities. I have experience working with a wide spectrum of disabilities including autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, Down syndrome, and many more. I believe that everyone can benefit from mindful movement and breath work and am committed to adapting my work to the specific individuals I work with. I incorporate my clients interests and preferences into individual sessions and am always happy to accommodate and get creative to create a valuable experience for each client. I have experience as a caregiver, special education life-skills, art, and yoga teacher, and volunteer overnight camp counselor. I also recently helped start a nonprofit that offers adults with disabilities summer retreats. I'm in the process of get my services covered by government funded programs. Kara was amazing! I have a child that has developmental delay as well a general learning disability. She was his homework helper last year. She was patient and kind and I got the sense that she really cared about him. His grades were phenomenal! She was very organized and help him break up the tasks for school as well as helped him study for tests. She was ultra dependable as well!! I would hire her back anytime. She was so fantastic with him.
