About Kara Dorothy

I like working with kids because I love being a positive and supportive presence in their lives while helping them learn, grow, and have fun. My experience as a swim coach, lifeguard, EMT, and tutor have shown me how rewarding it is to build trusting relationships with children and create an environment where they feel safe, confident, and encouraged. I'm looking for a job where I can build a trusting relationship with a family and provide a safe and positive environment for their children. I value open communication, reliability, and a position where I can stay active and engaged while making a meaningful difference in a child's day. I started working with kids when I was 14 as a babysitter, and I am now 22. I have several families back home in New York that I grew up babysitting for. I also have worked for 8 years as a lifeguard and swim coach. These experiences have given me several years of caring for, teaching, and supporting kids of different ages.
