About Kara

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, gentle, and compassionate. I like working with kids because they are such lights- full of fun and courage and kindness. I love watching them run towards their growth and find their own path in life. I'm looking for a job that is flexible but reliable. I have worked with kids pretty much my entire life. I am the oldest of 3 sisters, oldest of 17 cousins- pretty much the built in babysitter. I have always been told I am a natural nurturer. My first official "gig" was nannying a family of 7 kids when I was 16. One thing you should know about me is that I am extremely gentle and kind with all children. But I was raised by a stereotypical military dad. I am always filled with grace while still maintaining a room of respect for everyone and proper active listening skills. My skills include behavior intervention strategies used across many age-ranges, engaging creativity, and deep understanding of childhood development.
