About Kandi

My journey into caregiving began with my grandmother, who was a nurse. I cared for her at the end of her life, and she told me I had what it takes to be a great CNA. After she passed, I saw a newspaper ad for CNA training and job openings-it felt like a sign. I enrolled and became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2006. Since then, I've worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, gaining hands-on experience using assistive equipment like Hoyer lifts and gait belts. Over time, I transitioned into private caregiving, working directly with families while occasionally returning to the nursing home floor to stay sharp and updated. Although I stepped away from certification about four years ago, I continue to provide compassionate, experienced care to seniors and clients with various needs.
