About Kamya

Hi! I am Kamya! I am a 22 y/o UF graduate with a background in healthcare and patient support. I am certified in CPR, EKG, Stop the Bleed, and CMAA, and I aspire to become a Nurse because of my passion for caring for others and making people feel safe, supported, and comfortable. Background: I have 5 years of hands-on caregiving experience in both healthcare and home settings. I currently work at UF Health Shands Hospital, where I assist patients with mobility, provide nursing support, help maintain a safe environment, and work closely with nurses and healthcare staff. I also monitor patients and provide companionship. In addition to hospital experience, I have volunteered in hospice care, rehabilitation centers, and medical programs, where I assisted seniors with meals, hygiene, emotional support, activities, and companionship. I am experienced working with individuals who have disabilities, medical conditions, memory concerns, and neurodivergent needs.
