About Kamryn

Kamryn is a genuinely sweet, patient and wonderful person. She joined our family when I went back to work from maternity leave and jumped right in with our 3.5 year old daughter and 5 month old son. Our daughter was having a really hard time with both the adjustment to having a baby brother to share attention with as well as me going back to work - undoubtedly the most challenging phase we have experienced. Kamryn was so kind, loving and patient. Our daughter was fighting nap time and acting out a bit and Kamryn took it upon herself to come up with really creative ways to make her feel loved and to bond with her when I had to work. From introducing a "nap time train", to drawing really thoughtful pictures with affirmational notes on the back and slipping them under the door while she was sleeping - Kamryn went above and beyond to help my daughter feel safe and loved despite all the change and transition that was happening at that time. She was very sweet with our son as well and was able to gracefully manage both of the needs, making sure both always got the attention, love, and care they deserved. There were days she never got a minute of a break between their schedules but she never complained. On the days they both napped at the same time, she helped around the house. Our priority was always kids first and she honored that. One of my favorite things that our family got from Kamryn is creativity. If we didn't have something - she helped my daughter make it with paper or a box! We still have the space ships she made for both kids out of boxes. She also helped our daughter make flowers out of paper and then used a party hat as the base to make a bouquet. My daughter often comes up with ideas of the next art project she wants to do. I think Kamryn had a part in inspiring that! We were so sad to find out she was moving, we would have loved to keep her as part of our family long-term. My daughter still asks about her and sleeps with the stuffed dino (now lovingly named Dottie) that Kamryn gave her on her last day. Any family that is lucky enough to hire Kamryn will be bringing in a very genuine and loving nanny. Your family will be in good hands.
