About Kamilah

Experience: 20 yrs

Hi, I'm Kamilah, a retired Special Education teacher who remains certified and has over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of needs, including autism, speech and language delays, cognitive disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioral challenges. While I have specialized experience, I truly enjoy working with all children and strive to understand and meet each child's unique needs. I enjoy engaging children through learning activities, educational games, reading, creative play, and age-appropriate skill-building activities. I am currently available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. I am open to one-time or occasional shifts and can assist with transportation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, educational games and activities, and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

I had the pleasure of working with Kamilah and can confidently recommend her to any family seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly skilled professional. She has an exceptional ability to build trusting relationships with children while maintaining clear, consistent communication with parents. Kamilah is organized, proactive, and attentive to each child's individual needs. She thoughtfully plans services and activities, monitors progress, and makes adjustments when needed to ensure children receive the support they need to thrive. She is also an outstanding advocate for both children and families, always prioritizing their well-being and success. In addition to her professionalism and efficiency, Kamilah brings warmth, patience, and genuine care to everything she does. Any family would be fortunate to work with her, and I wholeheartedly recommend her services.
