About Kala

Hi! I'm Kala, a compassionate caregiver with 6+ years of experience supporting children and adults with special needs ages 6-30. I have experience with complex medical care including G-tubes, ostomy care, respiratory/lung care, wound care, epilepsy/seizure support, wheelchair assistance, and assisting with in-home therapies. I have experience supporting individuals with autism, moderate behavioral needs, and non-verbal individuals. I'm experienced with AAC devices and alternative communication strategies, helping individuals express themselves and build independence. I love teaching life skills through cooking, baking, crafting, and adaptive recreation while creating fun, meaningful activities based on each person's abilities and interests. I can provide transportation, school drop-offs/pick-ups, appointments, and community outings. I'm available 12 PM-8 p.m. I'm CPR/First Aid certified, lifeguard trained and have a clean driving record. My goal is to provide safe respectful car
