About Kaiya

Teaching children and caring for them is what I am passionate about. I am based in Lake Placid, NY. For the past year I've had the pleasure of caring for children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I have also worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital caring for children ages 5-11. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and plan to attend graduate school for a Masters. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children at a time. I'm patient, organized, responsible and friendly. I enjoy playing outside games, board games, doing arts and crafts and playing educational games. I'm very comfortable enforcing household rules and can help with cooking, light housekeeping, carpooling, travel, and swimming supervision. I communicate with parents using their preferred method. Knowing I can make a positive difference in a child's life is what makes this work so rewarding.
