About Kaila

I'm an undergraduate student who loves working with children of all ages. I am bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish, and I am happy to include language learning. I have worked with children since my freshman year of high school, with direct experience caring for infants as young as 3 months old through children up to four years of age. Additionally, I have volunteered reading to elementary students in Spanish at my college, which has further strengthened my ability to engage young learners in a second language. My caregiving style emphasizes hands-on and play-based activities. I encourage active engagement, such as putting dishes away, reading or interpreting a book, keeping screens to a minimum or to zero, and taking a firm yet gentle approach during challenging moments or big emotions. I also prioritize clear communication with families to foster a strong, positive relationship and ensure a healthy, welcoming environment for everyone. Thank you!
