I am originally from TN. I moved to San Diego in January 2015 because I love the ocean of wanted to live somewhere with great weather. My profile gender lists 'female but I am non-binary/trans. My pronouns are they/them/theirs. I love working with children. I have been working with kids since I was a teenager myself. I have worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher, summer camp coordinator, behavior specialist, nanny and volunteer. I have worked with a variety of ages in different roles. I have volunteered with foster youth as well as taught English in Guatemala. I love to travel and engage with various cultures. Some of the things I enjoy doing in my personal life are reading, writing, playing games, going to the movies, bowling, traveling, doing art (particularly mixed media), hanging out with horses and being out in nature or by the water. I am kind, patient, sensitive, present and engaged.

Kai took care of my 3 and 4 years olds. They loved Kai! Not only was Kai dependable and professional, but they were kind and patient with my children. My little ones opened up quickly and felt very comfortable expressing themselves . To this day, they ask when is Kai coming back to hang out with them. I would highly recommend Kai to anyone who wants a patient, loving and understanding person to care for their children. Its clear that it's not JUST a Job to them.

Kai babysat my kids on dozens of occasions. They were always on time and dependable. Kai is always engaged and truly enjoys spending time with kids. Kai is caring, honest and kind. They won't sit in front of the TV or on their phone. Kai loves playing games and loves conversing with kids. Kai has a calm nature that can seem shy or reserved but when you get to know Kai, you'll see they have a quirky kid like heart and can take joy in the simplest of things. Kai always goes above and beyond. Kai will commit as long as there is mutual commitment and respect. I respect and admire Kai's honesty and ability to connect with kids of all ages.

Kai is responsible, a great communicator, and reliable. Kai was aware of our needs and was flexible with our schedules. As a single parent it means the world to have someone you can depend on. I highly recommend her childcare services.

Kai worked with our family for about 4 months and was hired as an after-school babysitter/tutor for 2 elementary-age kids. Kai developed positive relationships with the kids and provided a fun experience for them, but was not able to manage the homework help (4th grade level). Kai also displayed a a disregard for my role as the parent and seemed to have a lot of personal issues to work through, which caused communication problems and a very defensive/unapproachable attitude. Kai had a very hard time accepting any type of feedback, minimal reminders, etc., which made it difficult as a parent to feel comfortable expressing any concerns or minor checking-in. Kai decided to quit the job and gave less than one-week notice, then ended up quitting 2 days later on the spot, leaving us in the lurch with find after-school care the next day and ongoing. I would not recommend Kai as a regular babysitter/nanny, especially if academic support is needed.

Kai is a sweetheart! They really care about others and put the kids first. I currently work with Kai with teens struggling with suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Kai is always on time, finishing their obligations on time, and goes above and beyond to make sure the kids needs are addressed and they feel safe in our program. Kai is more than a coworker, they're a friend and I would trust them with my own kids!

Kai is an amazing individual with positive energy. They are kind, compassionate, and a good listener. If I needed my 6 yr old cared for, I have confidence that Kai would be capable of handling our needs in a manner consistent with our current routine and schedule.

Kai is a super warm, creative and awesome person. They've taken care of my baby on multiple occasions, and I would definitely ask Kai again. Kai came on time, and my son took to them right away. I appreciate Kai's child development knowledge and education,they were not only great at taking care of my son, Kai also gave great, gentle advice. 5 stars for sure! 

Kai makes care giving fun. Whether it's games or educational exercises to further a child's development, no experience is ever mundane. No work hour is ever a time to merely sit and do nothing. Children are always engaged and parents can take comfort in knowing their child is in good hands.

Kai is very creative and has fun things to do for the kids. She will not just let them sit in front of a TV. She's always attentive to each child and their specific personality. Which I think is great because every child is different. She's  dependable and my kids just loved her. If she wasn't so far I would definitely still have her as my number 1 sitter. You would not be disappointed in choosing her to care for your loved ones.

Kai was punctual, attentive and engaging with our 1 year old son. Arts and crafts, reading, and music made for a memorable experience! We will definitely hire her next time she's available. 

Kai is a wonderful person with a big heart who loves children.  They are kind, gentle, and loyal and you can always count on them!

Kai is very calm & even-keeled with a quiet sense of authority. She gets along with my spirited 9 year old boy beautifully & loves to talk Harry Potter & play board games with him. 

Kai was great with my kids. She responded very well to our parenting style and treated out kids like we would have. She was creative and took them for lots of walks. I would definitely recommend her.

Kai has a massive heart, a great imagination and a love for children! Combine these three things and you have someone who is really great with kids and someone kids want to be around.

I have known Kai L. for over two years. She was a great caretaker for my three young boys. They absolutely loved her and it was obvious to me from the moment I met her that she had a gentle and caring heart. She took great care of them. As a parent of young children, it can be a challenge to find someone you can trust with your children and know that they will be in good hands. I trusted Kai and she became like a part of our family. My boys would always ask for her. They would even ask me to go somewhere just so Kai could come over and take care of them!

Kai worked as a babysitter for us. My newborn and toddler loved her, and she obviously enjoys working with kids. She was always on time and very reliable.
