About Kaelyn

Hello! I'm Kaelyn, a 25-year-old KU grad with years of childcare experience. I grew up with four much younger siblings, so I'm used to the real-life pace of family schedules: school mornings, pickups, practices, meals, homework... I nannied part-time throughout high school and worked at The Barstow School's after-school and summer programs. In college, I worked at 826LA, a nonprofit that provided free after-school care and tutoring with a creative writing focus. After college, I nannied full-time for a wonderful family of three until they relocated for work, and I returned to marketing. I'm extremely organized (my calendar is color-coded, and I clean as I go) but I'm also all-in on fun and know that mud washes off. I like creating a "daily plan" that balances what needs to happen with what the kids want to do. Building forts, making up stories, dance parties, and science experiments are favorites, but the small moments are what I love most.
