On average, I have had 3 dogs at any given time, all of which were rescues. I also had a few exotic pets like ferrets, guinea pigs, and hedgehogs and know well how much care and enrichment goes into giving them a good life. I have a BS in Biological Sciences, primarily focused on zoology, ecology, and genetics. Learning about all animals is practically all I do in my free time, including unusual animals like insects and herps. Currently, I keep a Boa Constrictor, but she has no interest in other animals unless they are rats and if needed I can cover her enclosure to prevent any issues with rodents. I feel comfortable with animals that are elderly, disabled, reactive, or otherwise needing special accommodations. Animals of any size category are fair game with the caveat that I will not be able to lift especially large ones.
