Funny and true: My first memory with animals was in England. Like many children, all I thought about were horses, but we traveled too much to own a horse so as a 5-year-old, I settled for walking our neighbors Irish Setter. He was a big red flying machine, with me on the end of the leash in the air. Very powerful! Since, I've owned many dogs, cats and horses. I started out with an amazing 4-year-old colt. On first meeting, it was magic. He was fond of me also. I trained him under the tutelage of an intuitive and eager self and in addition to local instructors, but most important was Alois Podalsky's, The Complete training of Horse And Rider, in my opinion, is the only book anyone really needs to learn proper equitation and horsemanship. That was 35 years ago and have raised and trained many horses in the art of dressage as well as their people as well as cared for many other critters! I hope to care for your little loved ones too.
