Animals have been my world since childhood. I had a number of pets. My chow mix Mo was by my side through adolescence, marriage, and was protector of our first child. Loving animals meant my husband easily talked me into farming. We spent 8 years in Colorado raising turkeys, ducks, chickens, quail, sheep, pigs, and one cantankerous bull, plus dogs, barn cats, a crested gecko and a bunny. Now we're homesteading in West Virginia! I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether walking, pet sitting, or maintaining your farm, I stay alert for distress and spot risks early. I am experienced with all life stages, special needs, and tough pets -- we had Weimaraners. IYKYK.
