I'd describe my personality as honest, caring, energetic. I like caring for seniors because I like helping people. I like learning from the recipient and establishing a connection. I'm looking for a job that allows me to provide the recipient with companionship. I like to take the recipient places. I like to cook. I like to make sure their medications are setup and being taken properly. I like to read to people and play cards or games. I like to find out what activities they are interested in. I started caring for seniors when my mom and dad needed care. I then became registered with IHSS and with private care agencies. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband and our dogs. I like to walk, exercise, read and write. One thing you should know about me is that I'm very reliable and honest. My skills include making sure the recipient has all the services they need and making sure they are happy. I work well with people who have cognitive difficulties.
