About julie

Julie cares for our mother, who has Alzheimer’s, and she is an incredibly compassionate, nurturing, and engaging caregiver. Before Julie came into her life, our mother was not very active and spent most of her days in bed watching television. With Julie’s support, she now takes two or three walks a day, goes to the gym twice a week, participates in group classes such as yoga and Combat Express, colors in adult coloring books, and completes Sudoku and word puzzles. We know this is not an easy job, as our mother often initially declines activities. Julie, however, understands exactly how to balance encouragement, motivation, patience, and restraint to achieve the best outcome at the right time. She never forces her, and our mother genuinely seems to enjoy the activities they do together. Julie also keeps us connected by regularly sharing real-time updates, photos, and videos of our mother’s activities throughout the day. This thoughtful communication gives us tremendous comfort and reassurance, allowing us to see that our mother is active, happy, and receiving excellent care while we are at work or attending to our own daily responsibilities. Julie thoughtfully encourages our mother to explore what she is still capable of accomplishing while always prioritizing her comfort and safety. She has truly opened our mother’s world to so many more possibilities, and we are incredibly grateful for the care, energy, and companionship she provides.
