About Julie

Hello! The past years my work has focused on dementia care, so I've been a nanny/sitter for many years - they've just been BIG kids. It's rewarding work and I've appreciated my experience within the field - where one can pour one's heart into their work. My approach to dementia care has been to embrace the child-like aspects of the condition - which has resulted in joy, creativity, connection - even healing. Because of this I've often been asked if I'd consider working with kids. Of course! My senior caregiver profile sums up my philosophy in terms of the nature of care-giving and the awesome responsibility for the well-being of others. It also lists references from the great families familiar with my work. Whether it's the older folks or the little people among us, I believe in keeping things as organic as possible and - as always - safety, comfort, and respect as core principles.
