I have my Masters in Occupational Therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospital, outpatient, home health , schools and dementia care. My passion is caregiving. My goals are to help individuals be independent in the areas they can be and to assist individuals the areas that are challenged. I try to focus activities on what is important to the client and family, that brings joy and a feeling of purpose. I also help out the family as needed with household chores, to ease the business of caring for a loved one.

My husband has dementia that was preceded by a stroke that left him with significant aphasia. He also has limited mobility and is incontinent. Julie has been helping me care for my husband for over a year. She is caring, compassionate and has a special way of communicating with my husband that allows him to maintain his dignity and self respect. She has been a real lifesaver for me as when she is here I can be gone from home for hours and feel comfortable that my husband is safe, comfortable and well taken care of. This allows me to relax and enjoy myself with out worry and that is priceless. In addition to giving excellent care Julie is motivated to help around the house. She doesn’t just sit idle when she has free time. My house is always cleaner when I come home than when I leave and she will do everything she can to lighten my load, from helping with laundry, making meals doing dishes, dusting, sweeping and washing the floors. She is an excellent caregiver and support person. I highly recommend her!
