About Julie

For the past six years, I've taught first and second grade, and I'm also a certified Reading Specialist. Some of the most rewarding moments in my career have been watching children overcome challenges, discover new interests, and feel proud of what they've accomplished. I believe every child is unique and deserves a safe, supportive environment where they can be themselves. Whether we're reading together, working on homework, playing outside, doing crafts, or simply having fun, I enjoy creating positive experiences that help children feel happy, confident, and cared for. Prior to teaching, I worked as a youth lifeguard and held CPR and First Aid certifications, and I would be happy to become recertified if needed. As I relocate from Philadelphia to San Diego, I'm excited to continue supporting children and families in a meaningful way.
