About Julie

Hi, families! I'm Julie, a New York State Certified Secondary English teacher with a master's in Literacy B-12 seeking part-time tutoring opportunities as I work toward another master's in Couple and Family Therapy. The majority of my professional experience comprises working with students in grades 7-12, but I am also open to working with students at the elementary level. As a former English teacher, I'm well versed in a variety of teaching strategies and instructional techniques and my areas of speciality include reading comprehension, writing fluency, grammar, and vocabulary support. In addition to helping your child improve their skills and academic performance, I hope to instill a great deal of confidence in their abilities as readers and writers. Lastly, as a future family therapist, supporting your child from a social and emotional standpoint is equally as important to me, and I look forward to facilitating their growth as a whole person!
