About Julie

I'm a former pre-k and day care teacher. I spent the last 7 years working for Mad Science (an elementary afterschool science enrichment program, in school assemblies, kids parties). I have also worked at summer camps as a lifeguard, counselor and unit leader including at Camp Curtis in LA. I used to teach painting to kids of all ages along with swimming and figure skating. Prior to moving to LA for grad school at USC, I was an Aquatics Director at a YMCA and personally taught all the special needs private swim lessons, so I do also have experience working with special needs kids especially on the autism spectrum. Due to my years working in early childhood education I have taken a number of continuing education courses including child developmental psychology. Fun facts: I am a figure skater, it's one of my favorite hobbies! I also love art and got my BFA in 2018 with honors. I just graduated from USC with my Master of Public Policy and also just completed my AmeriCorps service year!
